Blockchain is wonderful technology. It, probably, will stay alive for a long time, so your cryptocoins.
First of all, I want to talk about what happens in blockchain.
Inside blockchain there is a big computer that holds all the code of cryptocoins. Your balance for that cryptocoin also lies in that code. No one can access and transfer your coins, except you. That means, when you die, your cryptocoins will be lost, forever…
Because of that, we created CryptoWill.
What is CryptoWill?
CryptoWill is a program that runs in blockchain. It allows you to add payees and shares for each payee and distributes your cryptocoins to your payees after you die.
In CryptoWill you can set percentages for payees you’ve added. So you can’t say, send 0.2 BNB to someone and another 0.2 BNB to someone. Instead, you have to say, send 50% of BNB to someone and another 50% of BNB to someone.
Also you can set private message for each payee. This message will only can be viewable to payee after you died.
Wait, how CryptoWill knows that I am dead?
When you add a payee, added payee will be granted to use Confirm Death action for you. When 50% of your payees confirms that you are dead and after 60 days, CryptoWill changes your status to dead and your payees will be able to withdraw your cryptocoins. In 60 days, you can always revert the confirmation.
We are also working on email confirmation system that will allow payers to add an email and sends a Revert Confirmation email whenever payer is claimed to be dead. So clicking that link will also revert the confirmation.
Is CryptoWill free?
We would love to make it free but unfortuneately it’s not. Adding payee costss gas fee + developer fee. Developer fee allows us to keep working on this and another projects. We can (and we will) also lower the fee based on popularity of CryptoWill.
Which Blockchains does CryptoWill supports?
Initially, CryptoWill will only be available to BSC (Binance Smart Chain), but we are planning to deploy same functionality to Ethereum Main Network.
